Walk the Garden Behind the Menu
Look out from The Lawn at Wayfinder and you’ll see the market garden and orchard. They grow most of the fresh produce on our menu. Now you can walk through them with the people who tend them.
From 6 November, our garden team opens the gate every Friday morning for a small group. It’s an unhurried hour on working land, and it finishes with a shared plate of what is growing in the garden.
A Working Farm
Wayfinder was a dairy farm before it was a vineyard. Today it’s 100 hectares of vines, native bushland, pasture and garden, and more than 50,000 trees have been planted in the past five years.
You’ll walk the netted orchard, the market garden beds and the greenhouse nursery where almost everything starts as seed. Along the way you’ll see how our small garden team plans a season around a kitchen, works with nature instead of against it and keeps a garden running off-grid. You’ll also get an early look at what’s coming for the farm.
Finish on The Lawn
We end where we started, on The Lawn, with a shared garden plate from our kitchen. It’s picked and prepared from the beds you’ve just walked through.
No two tours are the same. The season decides what you’ll see and what you’ll taste.
Make a day of it: follow with our Winery Tour at 11:30, then lunch in The Dining Room.
